Can we just take a moment to appreciate the loud, messy, disastrous, but desperately caring and worried scene Vax wakes up to:

– His sister shoots literal lightning and fire with a scream of grief and rage

– Scanlan is standing in a broken window singing his heart out and twice saving Vax from certain death, broken glass shivering midair with the power of his magic

– Percy is sprinting in front of the castle firing Bad News

– Grog is roaring and in a rage

Listen, it’s chaos, but they are all trying so hard to protect him and it’s one hell of a thing to wake up to. (Not to mention the people who just nearly killed him looming over his body on the ground, which has got to be terrifying as fuck).

But this is as serious as I’ve seen Vox Machina yet and you know Vax knows they care. If there was ever any doubt in his mind. They care so fucking much y’all

so I’m watching episode 23 of the first campaign and honestly, Vox Machina’s investment in Grog’s rematch is so goddamn pure. Also just all the players trying so hard to support Travis. Like, this is an obscenely gory fight but also…the power of friendshiiiip

Vax is hot. Like, he’s a hot mess and a massive nerd and sometimes the secondhand embarrassment nearly kills me. But also, he’s hot

THE WHOLE ARRIVAL AT KRAGHAMMER IS SECONDHAND EMBARRASSMENT CITY

I need Scanlan not to get Vax into fights, Vax already gets himself into enough danger trying to protect the party, please don’t encourage him
