• molly, as much as he likes to pretend otherwise, thinks about the fact that he never had a childhood
• beau leaned heavily into her previous statement that her parents “always wanted a son” by saying that she had a childhood that was never really meant for her
• caleb’s last thought, in a moment where he might possibly die, was of not disappointing his parents
• nott sometimes disguises herself as a halfing just to have a normal hour to herself

and perhaps, the one i’m most interested in –

• nott is sending all of the things that she steals plus money to a town not far away from zadash
