This is a notebook I made for my bf @a-wandering-intern for Christmas! I’ve been meaning to post this for like months now but I kept not getting around to it. We both play Dungeons and Dragons, he’s DM’ing (for the first time) a campaign I’m in, so I wanted to make him something really cool.

The notebook was inspired by @r-n-w‘s Arcana Note book and printable DM resources, and by bookjournals.com

The front cover is hand-made, matboard bound in leather, with the words laser-engraved and painted over. The symbol is loosely based on his initials, cut out of brass (in my art metals class at school lol) and glued onto the cover. Inside are pages from the Dungeon Master’s Guide picked for usefulness and for pretty pictures, lined paper for notes, graph paper for maps, and pockets for printed sheets. The back cover is the actual back cover of the DMG (that I had to gut for this project, rip). I had to hand-punch the covers and then I got the whole thing spiral-bound at Office Depot (two days before christmas, thanks to the best customer service I’ve ever had).

The censored link on the dedication page is a link to @r-n-w‘s Game Master kit and character sheet, which I also bought for him to use (and included a little bit of it in the notebook!)

Wow, this is such a cool and thoughtful gift! I love the idea of binding your own customised book this way!
