why did i choose my url: this is maybe silly, but there’s this line in much ado about nothing where don pedro says to beatrice, ‘true lady, you were born in a merry hour’ and she replies, ‘no my lord, my mother cried. but there was a star that danced, and under that was I born.’ Dancing stars was taken in english and french, so crazy felt appropriately star crossed (hey hey) and I liked how it sounded. kinda stuck

favourite colours: I love most shades of blue, and anything on the blue green spectrum. Also a big fan of pinks – specifically the pinks you get in the sky around sunrise and sunsets

instruments: i played the violin till grade 6, though i haven’t touched it for a while. i used to be in a choir, sang alto, though again i haven’t sung properly for a couple years now. once, briefly, i sang with a band on friday nights
what am i wearing: black jeans and a gravity falls/stranger things mashup jumper my friends gave me. over the top of a carmilla t-shirt that says ‘feed the fish’ (also a gift, my friends are the best)
how many blankets i sleep with: one duvet and one fluffy blanket i bought a couple weeks ago. living in student halls rn, and our central heating is not awesome
dream job: podcast writer/director, novelist, basically anything that lets me a) write, and b) have a significant amount of control over what i do with my time. failing that, getting my pilot’s licence and giving people aerial tours of cool places sounds good. or just living on a sailboat and being a travelling storyteller.
dream trip: there’s this cycle ride through japan that i’m kinda longing to do one day. that and the silk road, from end to end. oh and the trans-siberian railway. well and since this has turned into a list: canoeing up the amazon river, hiking to machu pichu, hitting the everest base camp and going to angkor watt would all be pretty damn sweet. also, northern lights in norway.
favourite food: this is super tricky. I really, really love dumplings, so maybe just char siu bao? Though I’m also a sucker for roast lamb/roast dinner
