all shouto’s life he’s associated fire with pain and abuse. it was his father’s weapon against all might, against his mother, against him.
do you realize how important it is that he’s SMILING while showing this power to young kids, who are around the same age he was when his mother was taken away? he wants to show these kids the beautiful side of his power. the gentle side of something that’s always brought him fear and caused him pain. he does it with peace and with joy and with wonder and i’m just really emotional.
